Admin Premium The first pillar of Islam is Shahada. It is the most important among the other four pillars because without having enriched with the wealth of Shahadah, they are baseless. Salah, Zakat, Sawm, and Hajj come after one embrace the oneness of Allah and the apostleship of Hazrat Mohammad SAW by uttering these words clearly and purely: “There is no God Besides Allah, Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) is the messenger of Allah”. One cannot even enter in the shadow of Islam unless they recite these words intending to enter in the circle of Islam.

What is meant by Shahadah?
Shahadah is the key to mortal and eternal success. There are two parts of this holy scripture.
The first part of Shahadah
In the first part, we testify and acknowledge the oneness and superiority of Allah SWT. We utter that only He can do anything, and no one is His partner in administrating the whole universe. Only He deserved to be worshipped wholeheartedly.
Furthermore, the first part of Shahadah means that only One Allah is the Lord of everything we see, hear, feel, think, and even those we don’t think. Nothing is discerned from Him. As Quran says: “Say: Who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? Or Who controls the hearing and the sight? And Who brings forth the living from the dead, and brings forth the dead from the living? And Who regulates the affairs? Then they will say, Allah. Say then: Will you not then guard against evil”? [10:31]
The second part of Shahadah
In the second section of the Shahadah, we bear witness that Hazrat Mohammad SAW is the Messenger of Allah. One could not complete the frame of Islam without the admission of the second part of the testimony. The Holy Quran itself testifies the apostleship of Hazrat Mohammad SAW in these verses: “Say: ‘O mankind! I am the messenger of Allah to you all, of Him to Whom belongs the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. There is no god but He. He gives life. And makes to die’. Believe then in Allah and His Messenger, the unschooled prophet, who believes in Allah and His words, and follow him so that you may be guided”. [7:158]
Furthermore, we must testify that the Rasool SAW is the last Prophet of Allah, and his teaching will be instructing the folks till the last day. The Holy Quran says: “Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing”. [33:40]
Importance of Shahada
After going through the above paragraph, you might have understood very well that how Shahadah is significant. Here are some facts and rewards about reciting the Shahadah daily. One who says the Kalma many times in a day will have countless virtuous in their amal-nama. Those who repeatedly say the Shahada will have heavyweight in their balance on the day of Judgement. Daily recitation of the Shahadah purifies souls and hearts, removes all unnecessary wishes from the heart and pours the gratitude and attribute of Allah SWT and Rasool SAW into our hearts.
